The Desert Rose Labyrinth & Sculptural Garden is a free and unique activity in Southern Utah, just 20 minutes from downtown St. George. The labyrinth is located in Ivins within the community of Kayenta which has homes and vacation rentals, art galleries, spa, and Xetava Gardens Café. I have never eaten there but it has great reviews.

As you make your way to the labyrinth you can stop and look at the beautiful art along the way. A labyrinth is used for walking meditation. It has a single path that if you keep walking on, will eventually lead you to the center. You can stop and meditate in the center and and then return the way you came.

It’s not unusual for St. George to reach the upper 90s in the summer so plan accordingly as there is essentially no shade. Spring or late fall/winter is a great time to visit. However, the weather is unpredictable because it snowed a little during this visit in March.

Walking through the labyrinth will only take a few minutes but it’s well worth the visit if you’re in the area!
